2010 Winter Festival of Runs |
– The annual Winter of Festival of Runs will include the Full Marathon, Half Marathon & 10-Kilometer Fun Runs. The first event will begin at 4:30 a.m. with the Full Marathon & 10-Kilometer at 5:30 a.m. As part of the festival, the first ever Trail Run will also take place the following week. The start/finish line will be at the parking lot of the American Memorial Park besides the Hyatt Regency Saipan. The Full Marathon will proceed north toward the Marpi area and back to the starting lines, down to the Pacific Islands Club, then back for the finish line. The turnaround for the Half Marathon will be at the San Antonio Beach Park and the 10-Kilometer turn around will be in front of the Joeten Motor Company in San Jose and back to the park. 17th Marianas Cup Beach Volleyball Festival |
The annual event will kick off with a free beach volleyball clinic today, while Professional players from the US and Japan will be sharing tips and techniques with local players. Cash and prizes can be won in the two-day tournament. Top players from around the world compete for big prize money. Event time: 9 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Pacific Islands Club. An international sporting event that takes place in some of the most rugged terrains/jungles of Saipan. The XTERRA is an extreme triathlon challenge, which includes a 1.5K swim, a 12K trail run, and a 30K mountain bike race. A nationwide network of seventeen events offers the chance to race your way to the XTERRA World Championship held in Maui, the battleground for an exclusive field, with the best XTERRA age groupers from each region and the strongest pro field since the inception of the sport. 21st Annual Tagaman Triathlon |
A 2K swim begins in the crystal clear waters at the Pacific Islands Club, a 60k bike along the islands beautiful bike courses and a 15k run along the western lagoon, through the American Memorial Park pathway.
